Carbon pricing in Uganda only an option with revenue redistribution, says study

In Uganda, climate protection through carbon pricing wouldn’t be a big deal in terms of money. The country, with a population of around 50 million, would collect just 26 million US dollars a year if fossil fuels were priced at 40 dollars per ton of CO₂. But the seemingly tiny burden of $3 per household per year reduces emissions by 18%.
